Promoting woodturning and fine woodwork

Commissions and Gallery

Our members have diverse interests and skills. These are shown by the work we do and the range of items shared with others in the club

Commissions

We undertake commissions where we have the resources and expertise. The key objective of the club is to promote woodturning and fine woodwork in the community. Applying our expertise for commissions is one way in which we can achieve that objective. We are a not-for-profit organisation, so while we need to recoup costs of materials and supplies and receive reasonable recognition of our skills, we may not seek full commercial rates of return. This may allow us to undertake bespoke one-off work, for example for special gifts.

If you would like to discuss these items further or consider commissioning something of your own please use our Contact form to start a conversation.

Some recent commission work we have been approached to do and have successfully completed includes:

Commission 1. A pink gum bowl for a wedding gift made from wood from the gifter’s property. Approx 195mm wide x 120mm high.
